The work was documented through a series of striking 50x33cm photographs, capturing the juxtaposition of traditional artistry against the mundanity of daily life. Reality turns surreal, inviting the spectator—after an initial sense of surprise and estrangement—to wander and craft their own contemporary narratives.
Titled Face Painted People, the project was also presented as a seminar at VCUarts Qatar in Doha in 2015, offering an in-depth exploration of this cultural reinterpretation.
