Painting + PerformanceBroken Principles2013
I identified a collection of principles that I didn’t manage to respect through time. I called them “Boken principle” and drew them on chinese Joss paper.
Joss paper, also known as incense papers, are made into burnt offerings common in Chinese ancestral worship. Joss paper, in the tradition, are burned "to ensure that the spirit of the deceased has sufficient means in the afterlife".

Likewise Broken principles are meant to be burnt to forget old values, to forgive mistakes, to allow some of those principles to live again and new ones to come.

At the exhibition visitors were invited to paint or write some of their own broken principles and burn them.
